Remembering to Pray

The Transformed by His Grace Coffee Shop & Christian Gifts store has so many unique items that are meant to encourage and inspire. We knew we wanted to feature one of them for our Grand Opening, but which one carries the most meaning right now?

Our country is in the middle of an election. There is constant news of violence from our streets to our schools. Fires, hurricanes, and floods continue to devastate one city after another. We could go on, but we’re all aware of the issues that plague us. What, then, is the answer?

The Bible says that if we, God’s people, will humble ourselves and pray, seeking God’s face, He will answer us and heal our land. (See 2 Chronicles 7:14.) As Christians, we know we should pray, but we often get caught up in the issues of the day and become overwhelmed with confusion and anxiety.

That’s why we decided to feature the Pray America mug for our grand opening. The design is of an American flag with a beautiful bald eagle. The only text is the word “PRAY” and the verse “2 Chronicles 7:14.” This simple message encourages us to pray—for our families, our cities, our country, and the world at large. It reminds us that God is in control, and we need to seek Him and His will above all else. If we do this, we trust that He will hear us and heal our land.

We invite you to join our Grand Opening this Friday and Saturday, October 14 and 15, from 10am to 8pm. The Pray America mugs will be $5 off, and all other gifts and premium coffee will be 10% off. We’ll also have drawings for prizes. We hope you can celebrate with us this week and that you’ll join us in praying for our cities, our country, and our brothers and sisters throughout the world.
